Commissioning your pet’s portrait or botanical art
Pet portraits in polychromos pencil are a wonderful way of capturing the true character of your pet and will be a beautiful keep sake to have their memories stay with you forever.
Choose your size and paper
I mainly draw on white hot pressed paper, Pastelmat and coloured pastel paper. I find white hot pressed paper works for a more classic look and coloured paper works well for fair/white coloured fur to stand out or for something a little different.
White Hot pressed paper is available in:
21 x 29.7cm , 22.9 x 30.5cm and 30 x 40cm
Pastelmat comes in a variety of colours and is available in:
18 x 24cm, 24 x 30cm and 30 x 40cm
Pastel paper comes in a variety of colours and is available in:
22.9 x 30.5cm and 30 x 40cm
When using any size paper, the portrait will be centralised with a generous border to help the portrait breathe and to take into consideration a mount. The photograph that you provide will generally determine whether the drawing/painting is portrait or landscape but this can be discussed along with the best paper choice for your art work.
Choose your photo
It is really important to have a clear photograph, ideally more than one to help me capture the true character and personality of your pet. These can either be sent to me in the post or emailed. Any original photographs will be safely returned with the finished artwork.
Many hours are spent on one portrait to help create a true likeness of your pet and I will keep you updated on the progress.
For botanical art I can assist in sourcing images to work from or you may have a favourite of your own.
You can choose to have the portrait on either high quality white hot pressed 300gsm paper, coloured pastelmat or coloured pastel 160gsm paper which comes in a variety of colours and sizes (coloured paper works well for white/light coloured fur).

Postage & packaging
Your art work along with any supplied photographs will be securely packaged and sent via Royal Mail tracked.
Delivery is charged at £4.99 per order.
International deliveries quoted separately.
Commissions within 5 miles of GU5 0DY will be hand delivered.
Payment & deposit
All payments will be accepted by bank transfer. Account details will be sent out when you commission your art work.
I request a 30% deposit at the time of commission. Your commission will then enter my order book.
Full payment will be requested once your art work is finished and ready for delivery.
Timescales will be discussed at time of commission.
